  1. I will keep you all posted and thank you for your continued support. I can only hope that I can get changes made so incoming teachers are informed and don't wind up in the position I'm in 11 years into my career. It's disheartening to have discovered my savings with AXA has been riddled with high fees and is now being held captive to high transfer fees. However, it's not too late to make a difference!
  2. I can't thank everyone enough on here for your input. I stopped all of my AXA contributions as of today! I am meeting with our school business manager to push for having the best options in our district, armed with all of your information. Wish me luck :)
  3. Something I just discovered I may be able to participate in is NEA DirectInvest. Does anyone know anything about this?
  4. My district uses PenServ as our TPA. I called them today and they told me I could only put my money into one of the places I mentioned in my initial post.
  5. I am in New Jersey. I am definitely going to try and push my district for better options. In the meantime would you recommend I stop contributing to my current 403b and start putting my monthly deductions into a Roth IRA?
  6. I've been with AXA for 11 years and have recently discovered what a bad place to be putting my money. I'm a teacher and only have 403(b) offerings. My options in my district are currently: American Funds - R3 Investments American Funds - R4 Investments AXA Equitable Franklin Templeton Bank & Trus, F.S.B MetLife Variable Annuity Life Insurance Company (VALIC) Can someone tell me which is the best one to go with? I plan on taking everything out of my AXA account.
