Financial Literacy Vs Fiduciary Standard-Which Matters More?

Recommended Posts

My initial reaction was #1 as most important but after reading the article and thinking about how long it took me to actually act on my "knowledge" (years!), I do agree with you that #2 is most important.  Thank you for the articles you post.

The author starts with in favor of fiduciary standards and then ends with having a strong education.

I think they both are needed but just for argument wouldn't you think in a perfect world, or even a near-perfect world that financial education would eliminate the need for advisers period? We DIYers follow the perfect fiduciary standard of all! :- )
