Can you purchase Wellesley or Wellington Mutual Funds through Vanguard 403b?

Recommended Posts

Hello! I am considering purchasing some Wellington and possibly Wellesley in my 403b with Vanguard. However, I don't see them on the Vanguard 403b Services. I am possibly misreading the list? Any insight would be helpful as I have been on hold for the last hour with Vanguard.

Thank you

I can't know what your particular Vanguard 403b  looks like and if it has limitations but when we had it we could tap into any Vanguard fund we wanted. Do you have brokerage services?  Please post some info on the particulars of your Vanguard account.

Stillwater007, you are right that Vanguard does not offer Wellington and Wellesley in their 403b plan. Instead of Wellington, I think you would be better off with Balanced Index. Both are about 60/40 stock/bond.
